OVERVIEW AND SCOPE

This pioneer program, which was launched for the first time to the Greek business community by Alba and SEV in 2014, is addressed exclusively to women executives that manage teams and / or that are currently facing the challenges of a leadership transition. We focus especially on data depicting the representation of women executives and directors on corporate boards, and address why women at the top matter, the nature of the glass ceiling phenomenon, and what countries are doing to address and remedy the glass ceiling effect. We then examine organizational, interpersonal and individual level barriers and challenges that constrain the advancement of women.

The Program aspires to empower women in order to:

  • Accepting yourself as a leader: Reflect on how you have led in the past and acknowledge your abilities as a leader.
  • Developing as a leader: What can help you? Gain an appreciation for self-development as a lifelong activity
  • Understand what has led you to be the kind of leader and manager you are today and how you can be a more authentic leader based on your own background and values.
  • Focus on leading with an authentic purpose. We define inspiring leadership and discuss the strategies of high achieving women. Values and leadership vision are discussed in the context of developing the identity of a leader.
  • Consider your network and the importance of your network to your success. We will diagnose your current network, assess its strengths and weaknesses, and develop strategies to fill gaps and reshape your network to meet your leadership goals.
  • Build and support a network of women in leadership, as mentors, role models and mentees.
  • Unleash potential to prepare for senior management roles and positions and effectively deal with leadership transitions.
  • Become a competitive advantage for Greek corporations and the Greek corporate Community.
  • Share thoughts and concerns for current issues
  • Explore different sources of learning that ignite empathy, diversity management, versatility and learning agility
