OVERVIEW AND SCOPE

The main purpose of the seminar is to analyse modern concepts and practices on how to successfully introduce and manage change in organisations and businesses. Specifically, the seminar aims to:

  1. Highlight the necessity of change in organisations and businesses and discuss the complexities and challenges they bring to their successful implementation and consolidation.
  2. Discuss types of change, causes, stakeholders involved and different management approaches.
  3. Describe the process of change, the different stages, based on contemporary models.
  4. Recognize the importance of strengthening leadership and communication during change.
  5. Analyse the causes of resistance to change, forms of resistance, and how resistance to change can be effectively managed.

CONTENT AND FLOW

The course combines contemporary literature, case studies, presentations, interactive exercises and role-playing activities in all lectures in order to address the following themes:

  • Introduction to change management
  • Change planning and strategy
  • Implementation of the change
  • Resistance to change
  • Leadership during change
  • Communication and change
  • Managing resistance
  • Evaluation and monitoring of changes
