Dr. Baralou is a Senior Lecturer in Organisation Studies at the Open University in the UK and the academic lead for the MSc in Tourism Management at Alba Graduate Business School at The American College of Greece. The courses she teaches include Leading and Managing Change, Organisational Learning, Managing People, HR Management, Business Intelligence, International Business, and Writing and Presentation Skills. Her research interests focus on knowledge creation through virtual reality and the use of games for organisational learning. She has participated as a principal investigator or academic lead in various European-funded projects related to the use of virtual reality in organisational learning, staff selection, training, and development. Dr. Baralou has published studies in books, international scientific journals, academic collections, and conference proceedings. Her research publication "How is new organizational knowledge created in a virtual context? A dialogical approach," published in the leading international journal Organization Studies (ABS 4), was nominated for the distinguished Roland Calori Award as one of the top five scientific publications for 2014 and 2015. Dr. Baralou is a reviewer for prestigious journals and has served on the program committees of several academic conferences.
