OVERVIEW AND SCOPE

This course aims to help you acquire the necessary skills to effectively manage the processes of finding, attracting and selecting human resources. More specifically, you will be able to define the staffing needs of your business, examine the duties, skills and required experience of the position, draft a job description and properly draft an advertisement. Then you'll discover ways and the latest technology solutions to attract candidates from internal and external sources. This knowledge will help develop skills for managing applications and conducting effective interviews, equip you with greater confidence in selecting the right candidate, and help you understand the steps that go into building a complete candidate experience. By completing this course, you will be able to evaluate the recruitment and selection process in your company and propose improvements, as you will gain knowledge, develop your strategic thinking, but also the skills a professional needs to be able to recognize challenges, and make sound decisions during the recruitment and selection of human resources.

 

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By completing the course, you will be able to:

  • learn about the recruitment and selection process
  • understand the stages it consists of and the tools and/or methods used
  • develop appropriate skills to be able to properly organize an attraction and selection process
  • apply modern practices in your workplace,  including sustainable and smart tourism techniques
  • evaluate the effectiveness of your actions

 

PROGRAM INFORMATION

Week 1:

Unit 1. Strategic Planning of Human Resource Needs

Unit 2. Attraction and Selection - Basic Concepts

Week 2:

Unit 3. Job Analysis and Description

 

A range of teaching techniques and materials, appropriate to the course topics and objectives, will be used both synchronously and asynchronously. These include:

  • videos created by instructors
  • text in an interactive format
  • use of articles, references to relevant material
  • group and individual activities
  • 2 asynchronous discussions and exchange of views on various topics related to current trends
  • quiz
  • 2 live classes

The course is addressed to those involved in the process of finding, attracting and selecting human resources and to those who wish to acquire or renew the knowledge and skills related to the above processes. The training is particularly useful to a wide range of professionals, such as:

  • HR Business Partners / HR Managers
  • Managers and department heads who have little experience in attracting, selecting and/or interviewing candidates
  • Executives who wish to refresh their knowledge and skills
  • Recruiters who only have empirical knowledge in their subject and wish to understand more of the scientific or academic side of the process
