George Hadjinicola

Dr. George C. Hadjinicola is Professor of Operations Management and Chairperson of the Department of Business and Public Administration at the University of Cyprus. He has served as Co-Director of the MBA Program at the University of Cyprus (2005–2016), Academic Coordinator for MBA and Business Administration programs at the Open University of Cyprus (2014–2016), and contributed to evaluating Business Schools and degrees for accreditation bodies in Cyprus and Bahrain. Dr. Hadjinicola has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, and Statistics at institutions including USC’s Marshall School of Business, ALBA Graduate Business School (Greece), SKEMA Business School (France), and universities in Bahrain, Finland, Greece, Indonesia, and the UAE. In addition to academia, he held leadership roles in the Cyprus Cooperative Bank, serving as Chairman of the Board (2017–2019) and member of various committees, including Risk, Strategy, and Non-Performing Loans. His research focuses on the marketing-production interface, international operations, product positioning, and multistage production systems, with publications in prestigious journals such as Journal of Operations Management, European Journal of Operational Research, and Production and Operations Management. He has also delivered executive training in Project Management and Operations Management to organizations such as Carrefour, Siemens, Bayer, and Vodafone.
