Dr. Paul Emmanuelides has teaching, research, and consulting interests in the areas of Business Strategy, Leadership and Strategic Transformation, Strategic Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Intrapreneurship, Companywide Strategic Involvement, Shipping Innovation, and Shipping Strategy. After his Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens in 1986, he received his Master’s in Industrial Management, and PhD in Strategic Management at the Management and Organization department of the Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He has been a Professor of Strategy at SDA Bocconi Business School in Milan for several years while maintaining strong ties with the business community through extensive consulting and entrepreneurial activity in Greece, Italy, Switzerland, and the U.S.A. He currently teaches Shipping Strategy courses at the Alba Graduate Business School based on his innovative research outlined in his recent Shipping Strategy book, co-authored with shipowner George Tsavliris. Dr. Emmanuelides aims to cross-fertilize academic thinking with practical business relevance throughout his professional advancement drawing management theory - business practice synergies.
