International Assembly representative at ACCA BA(Hons)in Public Management-Panteion University, MAcc of Accountancy-University of Glasgow, MBA –University of East of London, FCCA Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, CICA-Certified Internal Control Auditor, Candidate PhD UWS –University of the West of Scotland.Emmanuel Kapizionis works in the shipping industry since 2007 for a traditional company-Nereus Shipping S.A. as Senior Accounts Officer. In his current role, Emmanuel had unique privilege for a full rotation to all the departments of the shipping company including a short voyage with bulk carrier- which has contributed a lot to his experience and has acquired a clear picture of what shipping business is and add knowledge under his belt of all the industry’s cycles. Previously, he worked as Assistant Auditor for KPMG and later as Audit manager in Moore Stephens for 7 years. Emmanuel’s working experience mainly covers external audit of shipping companies, financial and management accounting, internal audit and risk management assessments, Corporate Governance & Ethics and the application of IFRS that is his current research for his PhD at University of the West of Scotland. Along his other duties, he is Chairing the Steering Committee of ACCA in Greece and he is International Assembly member in London for many years.
