The Unilever Food Solutions Academy for 2017 took place on November 28th at the premises of The American College of Greece, marking the beginning of a collaboration between UFS and ALBA Graduate Business School.
Each year, Unilever Food Services invites approximately 80 FnBs from all around Greece and provides them with a unique experience that includes training, networking and lunch. Over the last 3 years, the courses included topics such as Global Food Trends, Food Costs, Wellness Food Sustainability, Communication Skills and Negotiation Strategy, The Holistic Approach in Hospitality.
This year a different approach was implemented disseminating ALBA’s long academic background and profound experience. The sessions were conducted by Dr. Baralou, Academic Director of Msc in Tourism Management program and Professor Chris Cooper, Visiting Professor at the MSc in Tourism Management Program and Professor of Business and Management at Oxford Brookes University.
Prof. Chris Cooper delivered a very insightful presentation on current and future trends in F&B to a large group of F&B and HR managers from all-inclusive hotels around Greece. Dr. Evangelia Baralou run an interactive serious game with participants on leading and managing change.
Dr. Baralou stated:
‘We are very happy that this academy marks the beginning of a collaboration that aims to bring closer the tourism industry with higher education for knowledge co-creation and generation of a strong impact on the Greek society.’
