Member companies presented real examples of AI integration in their business processes, highlighting the opportunities, challenges, and conditions for successful implementation. During the discussion with Dr. Kyriakos Sabatakakis Chairman & CEO, Accenture & Board Member, SEV, moderated by Maggy Athanasiadi Director of Technology & Digital Transformation, SEV, he explored how AI empowers all employees to enhance and bring greater value to their work,
and to become lifelong learners.

Among other he stated "Generative AI gives employees—even in junior roles—the opportunity to develop meta-thinking.It allows us to focus on human nature and discover better ways to work. Without needing to be programmers, we can build simple tools that help us work more efficiently."

In alignment with its strategy to foster digital skills and promote responsible AI adoption in Greek enterprises, SEV also announced the launch of a new AI Bootcamp, developed in collaboration with Alba Graduate Business School. The 20-hour executive program begins immediately and is designed specifically for non-technical professionals from SEV member companies who are leading AI transformation efforts. The curriculum focuses on:

  • Understanding the fundamentals of Generative AI
  • Developing and evaluating AI use cases with business value
  • Disseminating knowledge across their organizations

Despite growing awareness, SEV’s latest Business Pulse survey reveals that only 25% of Greek businesses are currently engaged in any AI-related activity. As SEV President Spyros Theodoropoulos remarked, “It is now widely accepted that AI will profoundly impact our lives and our companies’ competitiveness. We must not be left behind.”

With initiatives like the AI Bootcamp, “R U AI?” and “AI for All”—run in partnership with Google—SEV continues to empower Greek businesses with the tools and knowledge needed to embrace the future of work.
