Career & Alumni Director Maria Moragianis recently led a plenary session on student engagement at this year’s EFMD Careers Conference, hosted at Luiss Business School in Rome. This year’s conference theme was Experience, Engage, Explore.
Maria presented how the Alba Career Office engages students to participate in the School’s Career Development Program, including the use of focus groups, data and feedback collection from students as well the use of design thinking to create student personas so as to understand student needs.
Meanwhile, this year’s careers conference marked the launch of the Career Professionals Development Institute (CPDI), an EFMD-Highered initiative directed towards talent and careers professionals to acquire state-of-the-art competencies and stay abreast of the latest placement trends relevant for the business school sector.
At the CPDI, Maria led a highly interactive 3-hour session on recruiter relations and shared best practices on how to support recruiters’ hiring needs while leveraging connections through Alba’s ecosystems.
She presented how to create an effective communication strategy, collaborate with employers for their talent management needs and assist them with their employer branding. Participants engaged in group exercises using design thinking to create employer personas and share their schools’ best practices with each other.
