ALBA has the pleasure of announcing its cooperation with the Global Entrepreneurship Lab Program (G-Lab), the global internship training program for the MBA students of the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the MIT Sloan School of Management is one of the world's leading business schools. Conducting cutting-edge research and providing management education to students from more than 60 countries, the School is part of the MIT tradition of excellence in education and research.
ALBA will assist MIT Sloan within the framework of G-Lab, which combines classroom learning with practical experience gained in real-life business environments in dynamic, emerging markets. Hosted by selected companies around the world, each participating team of MBA students will typically undertake a 4-month, unpaid consulting project, based on an actual problem faced by the host company. This approach is similar to the Field Consulting Project conducted by full-time MBA students at ALBA Graduate Business School.
Acting on the request of the MIT Sloan School of Management, ALBA Graduate Business School has identified and recommended suitable host companies in South East Europe for the G-Lab program. Four teams, specifically, consisting of four students each, will visit Greece and will be hosted by the following companies: Novo Nordisk A/S, Titan Cement Co S.A., Korres Natural Products S.A. and Nireus Aquaculture S.A. Throughout their stay, MIT Sloan students will be paired with and supported by ALBA Full-Time MBA students.
This collaboration between the Sloan School of Management and ALBA Graduate Business School stems from the two academic organizations' shared commitment to excellence in education and research, as well as to the promotion of entrepreneurship at a global level.
With regard to the impending cooperation between the two organizations, Shari Loessberg, a Senior Lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management and a member of the G-Lab teaching team, commented: We are grateful to ALBA Graduate Business School for identifying and recommending to us potential host companies in Greece for G-Lab's consulting and internship program. In addition, we appreciate the School's offer to help our MBA teams network locally by connecting them with its MBA students. We respect the work of ALBA in supporting the role of entrepreneurship in the Greek economy, and we are happy to tap into its extensive links to startups and young companies in the wider region. We look forward to working with ALBA in building the G-Lab network in Greece.
