ALBA career development days for students

The ALBA Career & Alumni Office with the support of the School's Academic Programs organizes this event in the framework of the career development activities scheduled for 2007, for the students of the following classes: MBA 15, P-MBA 11, MSc in Business for Lawyers 8, MSc in SHRM 5, MSc in Finance 3, MBA in Shipping 1, MBA in Banking 2. The event will take place at the ALBA premises in Vouliagmeni.

The main objective of the event is to give ALBA students, who are about to finish their studies, the opportunity to interact with executives from the business community, and be informed about current demands and trends of the Greek and foreign job market, in order to be able to plan their future career path effectively.

Some of the issues that will be addressed during this 2-day event are the following:

1. What will be the constraints or opportunities in the job market in the years to come?
2. What are the critical attributes that will enable a candidate to pursue a successful career path? 
3. How can an MBA Program provide a competitive advantage?
4. What are the opportunities or threats in specific industry sectors, such as Banking, IT -Telecommunications and Retail?
5. What might be the role, particularities and difficulties that are inherent in functions, such as Human Resources, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Corporate Law, and the essential competencies that potential candidates for these functions must obtain?
6. What are the profile, mission and strategies of an Entrepreneur in the market?

The 32 guest speakers of the event, some of which are ALBA Alumni, are successful executives from the sectors and functions mentioned above, of the business community, with valuable knowledge and extensive experience.
