The focus of the Conference for the Digital Strategy organized by the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) on the 11 & 12 May 2017 at the Athens Concert Hall,was on the digital policy of Greece and the required roadmap, in order for the country to meet the requirements of the digital age and to develop a competitive economy.
Distinguished foreign and Greek speakers discussed how the private and public sector should not only adopt new technologies, but transform radically the organization and their business model, and streamline their operation in a "smart", fast, flexible and efficient way - mainly aiming to serve the real needs of citizens and enterprises.
On the second day of the conference, ALBA actively participated at the Parallel Session: “Digital Competencies and the Labor Market”. The main pupose of this panel was to discuss how the digital economy creates the need and the opportunity of labor market transformation and also how the challenge of digitalization can be address by developing new digital skills to employees.
ALBA's Dean, joined the discussion to share his experience from the educational initiatives and programs developed by ALBA Executive Development. He also focused on the modern technical knowledge and digital capabilities as well as organizational and leadership skills that prepare businesses and executives for Digital Transformation & Disruptive Innovation.
The session kicked off with some introductory remarks by Paolo Falco, Labor Market Economist, OECD, followed by the panel discussion moderated by the journalist Stamatis Zacharos.
Panel participants were:
