ALBA Hub for Enterprise and Development (AHEAD), the entrepreneurship center at ALBA Graduate Business School at The American College of Greece, announces scholarships for owners and employees of micro enterprises.
AHEAD’s goal is to support, both within and outside ALBA Graduate Business School’s community, the understanding and growth of entrepreneurial activity. The central value of all AHEAD activities is the belief that entrepreneurial action with high growth rates offer a unique chance to revive the economy with innovation, vision and values.
The “AHEAD Scholarships for Micro Enterprises” aim to help such enterprises to enhance entrepreneurial talent with knowledge, network and skills. They cover 50% of the tuition for the post graduate degrees offered by ALBA Graduate Business School. The scholarships are available to owners and employees of micro enterprises (with up to 9 employees). The micro enterprise needs to be independent and should not belong to a group of companies.
The scholarships were introduced in 2012 and have since then been offered to 7 applicants with a total value of €58.250. 4 scholarships have been awarded to The ALBA MBA students and 1 to each of the following degrees: MSc in Entrepreneurship, MSc in Strategic Human Resources Management and MSc in Tourism Management.

As I come closer to graduation, I feel full of useful knowledge, more skilled and self-confident. I have met several interesting people and made new friends. It is a journey of discovery.”
Similarly, Fratzeskos Gkirkoglou was awarded the scholarship in 2014 so that he could study for ALBA’s MSc in Entrepreneurship: “Although, in the middle of my studies I already feel that both I have developed new managerial capabilities and I have gained new tools. The MSc in Entrepreneurship stimulates creativity and nurtures entrepreneurial objectives through working groups, projects and case studies. The AHEAD scholarship gave me the opportunity to be part of this unique process.”
