Following the tragic fire incidents in Attiki, as an initial step towards providing relief to fellow citizens, the American College of Greece has opened up its residencies to faculty and staff in need for a temporary home.
As a next step, ACG aims at offering temporary accommodation to a wider group of fellow citizens from the affected areas. To that end, a coordinated effort is being made through the appropriate authorities of the Municipality of Rafina and Pikermi.
In addition, the ACG counseling center is open and can provide support services on campus to ACG community members (students, staff and ACG alumni) during normal operating hours (10:00-18:00). Outside normal hours, we will offer support services on call.
Anyone wishing to receive the Centre’s services are welcome to walk in on the above mentioned operating hours or contact the Counseling Center via email or phone, ext. 1080, and 6949 201379 (outside operating hours) to request further information or book an appointment.
Deree Psychology faculty members, who are licensed psychologists are directly in touch with the municipality of Nea Makri, which asked for counseling help.
Moreover, the Deree Student Association is leading an all-College blood drive which will take place at NIMTS Hospital until Friday, August 3 (Monis Petraki, 10-12, from 8:30-14:30, except the weekend. For more information, call the President of the Deree Student Association at 6946122104).
