A Journey of Impact and Entrepreneurship: The 3rd #AlbaEntrepreneurs Gathering Shines

The spirit of innovation and community was palpable at Alba Graduate Business School during the 3rd #AlbaEntrepreneurs Gathering held on April 7th. The gathering provided a vibrant platform for students and alumni entrepreneurs to connect, share insights, and draw inspiration from the entrepreneurial journey of a distinguished alumna.

This gathering featured Dimitra Kalantoni (Alba EMBA '20), as the ice-breaking speaker. Dimitra captivated the audience with her compelling story, tracing her career path and the pivotal moments that led to the creation of two distinct, yet equally impactful, ventures.

A big part of her talk was about how she founded Exelixi Zois (Εξέλιξη Ζωής). This non-profit has a truly important mission: it helps young adults leaving protective care. Exelixi Zois gives them the skills, support, and tools they need to confidently find their way into adult life and become part of society. Dimitra spoke frankly about how much the organization helps the community, the tough parts of raising money for a non-profit, and how rewarding it is to see these young people do well because of their programs.

Showing her wide-ranging entrepreneurial talent, Dimitra also talked about co-founding Octopus Events. This company uses her skills to help businesses design and run unique events that people remember. Her success in both the non-profit and for-profit worlds really struck a chord with attendees. It showed everyone the many sides of being an entrepreneur today.

The evening coninued with wine, finger food and lots of networking opportunities. This #AlBbaEntrepreneurs Gathering was another great night for connecting and learning in a lively setting. People left feeling energized by Dimitra's story and the shared hope for a future filled with new ideas and meaningful work. Alba Graduate Business School is dedicated to building these connections and celebrating the many successes of its entrepreneurs. 

The #AlbaEntrepreneurs Gatherings are held regularly and are exclusively tailored for members of the #AlbaEntrepreneurs community. These events are co-organized by AHEAD – Alba Hub for Entrepreneurship and Development and the Alba Graduate Business School Office of Advancement – Alumni, reflecting Alba’s commitment to fostering innovation, collaboration, and lifelong learning among its entrepreneurial community.
