Mr. Theodoros Papalexopoulos, thanked ALBA for honoring him with the second Business unusual Award and he gave an interesting speech that concluded with the following statement:
“In my opinion every activity that promotes corporate social responsibility, is not only for the interest of the society at large but for the business itself. And I am not just referring on the reputation of the company. As Thomas Friedman said
"Today more people than ever before can see what is happening within their business and judge you by your actions, not by your words." This is true, but there is something else, more important, perhaps the most important:
While this activity is advantageous to the company itself, our country today needs it more than ever and I am sure that Kazantzakis would also agree with me, who once had said:
"Love responsibility.
Say, I alone will save the earth
and if I won't succeed, it will be my fault”
