In 1992, ALBA became the first graduate business school in Greece to have teams of MBA students deliver practical value to a select group of Greek companies, through its Field Consulting Projects (FCPs). Since then, ALBA has run 175 projects, for more than 80 companies, deploying more than 350,000 hours of student work.
The final presentations for the ALBA 2009 Field Consulting Projects took place on Thursday, September 10th at ALBA. Nine teams of Full-Time MBA students have been working to deliver client value in a wide range of markets. Projects range from analyzing the market for Volleyball in Greece, to developing business plans in South Africa.
Representatives from all partner companies attended the FCP presentations, and all commented upon the outstanding quality achieved by this year’s teams. The projects were all found to be very professional and each of them is very likely to be implemented within the partner companies. This indicates yet again that a balance has been achieved between theoretical knowledge and the practical demands of real business.
