The adoption of digital technology always involved endless discussions, timid decisions, and slow implementations. Suddenly, as a result of the pandemic and the attendant restrictions, governments, businesses, and individuals over the world migrated to online channels and tools within days. The scale, scope, and speed of transition are unprecedented and unstoppable, at least for now. Will people abandon these systems after the risk of serious illness subsides? If not, what other changes should we expect in business, commerce, education, and consumer behavior as a result of our newly acquired virtual habits?
