17:30-20:00 Heraklion Chamber of Commerce and Industry

On the occasion of the completion of the first cycle of the VentureGarden program in Heraklion, the H2B HUB and Alba Graduate Business School, The American College of Greece are organizing the event:

"Entrepreneurship Tomorrow: Challenges and Opportunities of the Digital Age"

What are the changes that Digital Transformations bears for existing and new entrepreneurs?

Contemporary entrepreneurship across all sectors is intertwined with the rapid development of technological solutions. Young entrepreneurs are developing ambitious business models that can change entire industries at any time. But how can existing businesses take advantage of these developments? How can they cope with the new competition that exploits technology?

Managing Digital Transformation does not require a deep understanding of technology, but management mechanisms that enhance innovation and provide flexibility.

The Dean of Alba Konstantinos Axarloglou will talk about the role of the Manager in this transition, and Alba Professor Nikolaos Karouzakis on the banking and insurance industry using the FinTech Technologies example. Two guest speakers, Mr Michalis Tzagarakis, Marketing Director at Chalkiadakis Super Markets, and Michalis Tsiknakis, Owner and CEO at Cosmos Sport, will talk about their own experience with the digital evolution of their businesses.

At the same time, the role of the VentureGarden program in developing entrepreneurship and supporting entrepreneurs in Crete will also be highlighted, celebrating the participants of the programs first round in Crete that started in the Fall of 2019.

The event will be held in Greek.
