The financial system in the era of memoranda "

Theme will developed by Mr. Vasilis Panayiotidis, special advisor at Hellenic Bank Association, Mr. Nicholaos Haritakis , assistant professor of economics at Athens University and Mr. Panayiotis Genimatas , honorary vice president of the European Investment Bank.
A discussion will follow, during which the three speakers will answer to questions by Greek CFOs ,currently experiencing the lack of liquidity in the local market.
The reality: Greek companies are headed , despite the recapitalization of banks , without the possibility of bank financing for both working capital and for investment funds. In addition they has to face higher taxes & increased administrative tax compliance costs . In other words facing with a difficult present and an uncertain future.
So the question is : Could financial products hitherto indication of innovative initiative, reverse the adverse financial climate and ensure the necessary liquidity in the market?

The Hellenic Association of CFOs (SEODI) was founded in 2001 in order to bring together all ranks of the CFOs of large companies.
Vassilis Panayotidis holds a degree in International and European Studies of Panteion University where he completed his postgraduate studies in international economics, finance and banking law .He joined the General Secretariat of the Greek Banks Association ( HBA ) during 2000 and is head of areas of payment systems , online banking and prevention & control of the use of the financial system for committing financial crimes ( money laundering , financing of terrorism , physical security , fraud in payment instruments and systems ). He is a regular rapporteur at the Greek Banking Institute ( ETI ) , a trainer of Greek Banks Association and represents, through the General Secretariat of the EBC member banks to a committee of the European Banking Federation and the European Payments Council .
Mr. Nicholaos Haritakis , is Assistant professor of economics at Athens University. He studied Economics at the University of Athens and holds an MA and PhD ofrom Clark University. He has served as Secretary General of Competition and Privatization at the Ministry of Industry, Research and Technology and Chief Economist of the European Parliament. He is a member of the American Economic Association.
Mr. Panagiotis N. Genimatas, lawyer and political scientist, is honorary president of the European Investment Bank, where he served as first Greek vice president for the period 1994-2000. Since then he has been active in the financial and energy sectors. His recently published essay "Greece: West or East," negotiates the fruitless task of modernizing
