The I.H Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba signed an exchange agreement with Alba Graduate Business School this week. Asper School of Business started as a small department in 1937 at University of Manitoba, and now it has grown into a major research and teaching unit with more than 60 full-time staff and approximately 1800 students at the bachelor's, master's, and doctorate levels. Asper School of Business is one of the top universities in Winnipeg, Canada.
It is ranked #101+ in World University Rankings - Masters In Finance 2019. The school offers degree programs and courses for undergraduates, as well as to graduates leading to MBA and Ph.D. degrees. They also offer Executive Programs, an Indigenous Business Education Partners, International Exchange Program and Co-operative Education Program. The University of Manitoba claims to maintain a reputation as a top research-intensive post-secondary educational institution, conducting more research annually than any other university in the region; its competitive academic and research programs have also consistently ranked among the top in the Canadian Prairies.
Research at the University of Manitoba has accordingly produced various world-renowned contributions, including the creation of canola oil in the 1970s. Likewise, U of M alumni include Nobel Prize recipients, Academy Award winners, Order of Merit recipients, and Olympic medalists, among many others. Moreover, the university has produced countless government figures, members of Parliament (MPs), etc. University of Manitoba holds the AACSB accreditation.
