Two groups from Henley Business School, Reading University visited Athens the last 3 weeks in order to complete two different programs organized by Alba.
The MSc in Finance students had the chance to do a 3 weeks on campus full course on “FinTech and Digital Transformation in Financial Services” with Dr. Nikos Mylonopoulos and Dr. Markos Zachariadis which included a visit to EUROBANK where students learnt about the bank transformation and talked about business and risk analytics cases.
The MSc in Management Henley students, on the other hand, participated in a hybrid International Applied Challenge (1 week online lectures and 1 week in Athens) where the main theme was to introduce students to the process of starting up a new venture, using ideation and lean start up methodologies.
The scope of the program was to work in groups and present an idea for a start up that would be successful in Greece. Venture capital representatives and business founders provided feedback to 10 start-up ideas which were developed by Henley students with the guidance of Alexis Komselis.
Students also visited The EGG where they discussed with Greek start ups and explored their challenges and opportunities.
Alba is able to host full courses of partner schools as well as field international experiences.
