On June 6, 2026, we welcomed Online MBA students from around the world to Athens for a special Online MBA Meet-up at Alba’s campus.
The event brought together students, alumni, faculty members, speakers, and members of the Alba community for a full day of learning, networking, and personal connection. Designed to strengthen the bond between the online classroom and the wider Alba experience, the meet-up offered participants the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations, exchange perspectives, and experience first-hand the warmth and energy of the Alba community.
The opening Welcome Session set the tone for the day, highlighting the importance of community, collaboration, and shared learning in the Online MBA journey. Throughout the event, participants attended keynote sessions by Dr. Gerasimos Kouvaras, Dr. Nikolaos Dimitriadis, and Alexandros Vaxevanellis, who shared insights, ideas, and professional perspectives with the audience. The sessions encouraged active participation, thoughtful questions, and lively interaction between students, speakers, and faculty.
A special highlight of the day was the Students' Spotlight session, where Online MBA students shared their personal experiences, reflections, and stories from the program. Their contributions brought forward the human side of online learning: the relationships, motivation, and sense of belonging that develop beyond the digital classroom.
Networking moments during coffee breaks and lunch further reinforced the international and multicultural character of the Online MBA community. Students from different countries and professional backgrounds came together in a friendly and inspiring atmosphere, exchanging ideas and building connections that extend well beyond the program itself.
The Online MBA Meet-up reflected what lies at the heart of the Alba experience: a global community of professionals who come together to learn, grow, share experiences, and transform online connections into meaningful personal and professional relationships.
Despite the distance that often defines online education, the event clearly demonstrated how strongly Alba’s Online MBA students are connected to the School, their professors, and one another. The atmosphere throughout the day was warm, collaborative, and inspiring — a true celebration of community, learning, and connection.
