From Athens to Marseille: Alba Students Expand Their Global Perspective at KEDGE Business School

April 21, 2026

A cohort of 13 students from Alba Graduate Business School (Athens, Greece) successfully completed a four-day immersive program in Leadership and communication skills, hosted by KEDGE Business School at its Luminy Campus in Marseille, France. The program, which ran from Tuesday, 14 April to Friday, 17 April 2026, was designed to foster leadership competencies, intercultural awareness, and professional exposure through a blend of academic coursework, corporate visits, and cultural immersion.

The academic component of the course focused on the module Leadership & Communication Skills, delivered across three sessions by KEDGE faculty. Students were guided through a reflective inquiry into the transition from reactive behavioural patterns to conscious, creative leadership competencies. Participants were also engaged in a progressive exploration of communication as a leadership tool—from the art of deep listening to cultivating personal agency within professional and interpersonal contexts.

A central dimension of the seminar was its emphasis on direct engagement with the professional world. Students visited the headquarters of L’Occitane en Provence, the internationally acclaimed cosmetics and skincare company and the Château La Coste, a celebrated Provencal estate founded in 2004 that exemplifies the confluence of viticulture, contemporary art, and sustainable architecture. Students toured the estate’s vineyards and wine cellars, examining the principles of responsible production and artisanal craft, while also engaging with the estate’s curated collection of site-specific sculptures and architectural installations by internationally recognised artists. This visit illuminated the intersection of creative industries, luxury branding, and ecological responsibility as a distinctive business model.

Beyond the classroom, the immersion field trip offered students a rich program of cultural and experiential activities in and around Marseille such as a visit and hiking at the Calanques National Park—an area of outstanding natural beauty characterised by its distinctive limestone formations, biodiversity, and Mediterranean coastal landscapes. The following day, following the visit to Château La Coste, the cohort explored Aix-en-Provence, a historic city founded in 123 BC and renowned as the birthplace of the Post-Impressionist painter Paul Cézanne.

The program was hosted by KEDGE Business School, one of Europe’s leading institutions of management education which holds triple accreditation (AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA), placing it among the top 1% of business schools globally.

“This international seminar represents a significant milestone in our students’ academic journey, offering them not only rigorous intellectual engagement but also meaningful exposure to world-class institutions, innovative enterprises, and the rich cultural heritage of Provence. We are proud of the commitment and curiosity our students demonstrated throughout the week.”
