Psychiatrist, Psychotherapist & Head of Training Programs at BPSS
Filippos Kouniakis, MD, PhD is a psychiatrist, psychotherapist and educator with more than 20 years of clinical, academic and training experience.
He is co-founder of the EGO IDEAL Institute of Mental Health in Thessaloniki and Head of Training Programs at Business Psychological Solutions & Support (BPSS), where he contributes to the design and delivery of mental health and employee support initiatives.
He holds a medical degree and a PhD in Psychiatry from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He previously served as a scientific associate at the Second University Department of Psychiatry, where he was responsible for training in group psychotherapy, and at the Propedeutic Department of Internal Medicine, as psychiatrist of the Obesity Clinic.
From 2023 to 2024, he served as Scientific Lead of IASIS at Work, a Day Centre for Employee Support.
A certified L.E.A.P. Institute trainer and experienced group psychotherapy educator, he has participated in clinical studies, published scientific papers in psychiatry journals and spoken at numerous medical conferences.
He is also the author of “Πώς νιώθεις με αυτό;” (“How Do You Feel About That?”), published by Key Books.
His teaching connects insights from psychiatry and psychotherapy with the human dimensions of leadership, collaboration and workplace wellbeing.
