Dr. Eric Tartas is the Founder and CEO of CyberPax S.A., an Athens-based cybersecurity company specializing in live-fire cyberattack simulation training for IT and OT environments, vulnerability assessment services, and resilience evaluation through its proprietary Resilience Capability Maturity Assessment (RCMA) methodology. CyberPax is the CyberGymIEC franchise partner for Greece, Cyprus and the Balkans, serving critical sectors including energy, maritime and aviation.

His career spans three decades of executive leadership across the private, public and academic sectors. He is also CEO of DPA Label Pack S.A. and a board member of SafeBlood-Bioanalytica. Previously, he served as General Manager of a Brussels-based consultancy working for the European Commission, European Parliament, NATO, UN and World Bank; as Special Advisor to the Greek Ministers of Health, Education and Interior; and as Secretary General of the National Technical University of Athens, leading 1,400 staff. Earlier, he was CEO of the national agricultural training organization OGEEKA Dimitra and Executive President of the Hellenic Cotton Board.

He has taught since 1988 at HEC Lausanne, Democritus University of Thrace and ICBS (with Kingston University and the University of Winchester), and currently teaches at NTUA’s MSc in Engineering-Economic Systems. He holds a PhD from HEC Lausanne in Operations Research and Statistical Analysis — the foundation of the RCMA methodology — postgraduate training in neural networks from EPFL, and the MIT Sloan certificate “Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy.” He writes on maritime cybersecurity for the Sea Guardian newsletter.
