Dr. Alexandros Glykas is a Naval Architect and Marine Engineer with more than 25 years of international experience in maritime engineering, marine safety, Ship-to-Ship (STS) operations, and maritime risk management. He is the Founder and CEO of DYNAMARINe, an international maritime organization specializing in STS operational assurance, marine casualty investigation, due diligence, and maritime compliance systems.
Dr. Glykas has contributed extensively to the development of STS risk methodologies, operational governance frameworks, and digital maritime systems used internationally by tanker operators and maritime stakeholders. He participated in the re-opened Formal Investigation into the loss of the M/V DERBYSHIRE under the UK Department of Transport, contributing to technical analysis and maritime safety recommendations. He currently serves as Associate Professor / Visiting Professor at ALBA Graduate Business School and has previously taught at the University of the Aegean and the University of Glasgow.
Dr. Glykas is author, co-author, editor, and reviewer of numerous books, technical monographs, and industry guidelines related to maritime safety, STS operations, operational risk, and marine engineering. His work bridges academic research, industrial innovation, maritime law, and operational governance within the international shipping industry.
