We are proud to have participated in PIREAS by HSA 2025, one of the most important events in the global maritime calendar, organized by the Hellenic Shipbrokers Association (HSA) in collaboration with The Baltic Exchange. As Bronze Sponsors, we were honored to support this distinguished initiative that brought together the global shipping community for two days of dialogue, networking, and forward-thinking discussion.
Held in the heart of Greece’s maritime hub, PIREAS by HSA 2025 gathered industry leaders, influential decision-makers, and emerging young professionals, reaffirming the critical role of collaboration and education in navigating the future of shipping. The conference addressed timely topics across market dynamics, sustainability, digitalization, and talent development—setting the tone for what's next in maritime.
We were especially proud to witness Alba alumni playing a visible and impactful role throughout the event. Among them was Mr. Yiannis Parganas (Yiannis P.), Director of the Research Department at Intermodal Shipbrokers Co., who participated in the event’s opening panel discussion, “Waves of Change.” His contributions highlighted not only his personal expertise but also the influence of Alba’s educational foundation on leaders shaping the shipping world today.
The event culminated in the PIREAS by HSA 2025 Gala, a festive and elegant celebration honoring the people who define and drive the maritime sector. The Gala offered an exceptional opportunity for reflection, connection, and recognition of industry excellence.
Mr. Spyros Vougious, Director of Shipping Programs at Alba Graduate Business School, attended both the conference and the Gala, representing our school and reconnecting with many alumni who are now excelling in their careers as successful shipbrokers and maritime professionals.
Reflecting on the event, Mr. Vougious shared:
“I warmly thank the Hellenic Shipbrokers Association for their excellent organization and warm hospitality. It was a pleasure to reconnect with many of our graduates, now thriving as successful shipbrokers and active participants in PIREAS by HSA 2025.
Our strong collaboration with Mr. John Cotzias, President of HSA, and Mr. Nick Pentheroudakis, Honorary President of HSA, reflects a long-standing partnership built on shared values, scholarships, and joint educational initiatives. For over a decade, this relationship has played a key role in shaping and supporting the next generation of shipping professionals.”
As a school deeply connected to the shipping industry, we remain committed to cultivating talent, encouraging thought leadership, and maintaining close ties with professional bodies like HSA. Our presence at PIREAS by HSA 2025 reaffirms our mission: to support the evolution of maritime business through world-class education, industry engagement, and a thriving alumni network.
