Alba Graduate Business School proudly launched a new tradition on December 10, 2024, with its inaugural #AlbaEntrepreneurs Gathering. The event marked the beginning of an exclusive series designed to connect the dynamic entrepreneurs within the Alba community, bringing together a diverse group of business owners, from alumni as far back as the class of 1995 to current students.
The evening's highlight was an inspiring and practical talk by Dionisis Spiliopoulos (MSc in Entrepreneurship ’19). Dionisis shared his authentic journey, which is deeply intertwined with his time at Alba. He spoke about co-founding Wellbee Medical Data, a digital health wallet platform, an experience that fueled his desire to deepen his business knowledge and led him to enroll at Alba.
He then detailed how he applied his learnings to found Heald Herbal Herbs. Dionisis captivated the audience with the story of Heald, from researching the market for functional herbal products to his strategy of reinvesting all proceeds to fuel growth. He also shared his unique experience of presenting the business on the second season of Dragons' Den Greece and spoke about the power of building connections to scale faster.
Following an engaging Q&A session, the room was buzzing with energy as attendees connected over pizza and beer. The gathering provided a valuable and informal setting for founders to share challenges, exchange ideas, and build a stronger network of peers.
The event also served as an important reminder of the ecosystem of support available to the Alba entrepreneurial community. Resources highlighted include:
