Breathing new life into reskilling and upskilling: Futureproofing executives through education
2023, proclaimed The European Year of Skills by the European Commission, is breathing new life to lifelong learning. Upskilling and reskilling are key when it comes to facilitating the green and digital transitions of companies and people, as well as supporting them in their innovation efforts.
Acknowledging that continuous learning (even unlearning and relearning) is at the heart of agility, the Economist Impact Events for SE Europe and its academic partner, Alba Graduate Business School, are coming together to offer junior & mid-level executives the opportunity to become relevant and stay relevant in an ever-changing world: A joint scholarship to attend an MBA at Alba and a unique opportunity to enter the futureproof universe of lifelong learning and evolving.

This partial scholarship will cover 50% of the tuition fees of the MBA program for one (1) person. The scholarship is open to Economist Impact Events for SE Europe participants -who have attended physically at least one (1) Economist Impact Event in SE Europe region within the last two (2) years, and applies to the 2023-2024 academic year. For candidates based abroad, the scholarship applies for the online MBA.
As a merit-based scholarship, it will be offered to one applicant of the MBA program with excellent academic performance & potential who meets the admissions criteria of the program as stated in Alba’s website.
The evaluation of applications and the final selection will be made from Alba Graduate Business School, The American College of Greece.
Eligible candisates must submit their application online and select the “Economist Impact Scholarship” field from the related Scholarship dropdown, no later than May 31, 2023.
1. Eligibility
1.1 Given these is an exclusive scholarship for Economist Impact Events for SE Europe, Alba will confirm with Economist Impact Events for SE Europe that the candidate has been registered and attended physically at least one (1) Economist Impact Event in SE Europe region within the last two (2) years.
1.2 The scholarship is not available to candidates currently employed to Economist Impact Events for SE Europe.
1.3 To be considered for admission, candidates must:
1.4 Candidates need to submit the online application by the given deadline. As long as the academic folder of a student is not complete, the student cannot take any fellowship that the School provides and he/she is personally liable for all expenses related to his/her studies.
1.5 All candidates will be asked to go through a personal interview.
1.6 Candidates who hold/have been granted other Alba scholarship are not eligible for the award of this Scholarship.
1.7 The Scholarship and Scholarship funds are not transferable.
1.8 No cash alternative is available and the scholarship cannot be used in place of any required deposit.
1.9 If you wish to decline a scholarship offer from us prior to registering at the Business School, please email [email protected] We will then withdraw our scholarship offer and confirm this in writing. Any offer of a place on one of our courses would not be affected. Please note that scholarship awards cannot be deferred to a subsequent year. If you do defer your entry to our course then any scholarship award will be removed. You can apply for the other scholarships the following year, but any award cannot be guaranteed.
