Dr Gerasimos Kouvaras is Academic Director of Applied Research and Innovation and Teaching Fellow at Alba Graduate Business School. An executive, educator, consultant, and advocate for transformative change, he has almost 30 years of leadership experience, including serving as Country Director of ActionAid and Amnesty International, and as Executive Director of the World Human Forum, which he currently represents—alongside Alba—in the global Inner Development Goals movement.

He is also the co-founder of Sarli Kouvaras Consulting PC, through which he has worked with over 50 national and international organizations and hundreds of individuals, from youth activists to UN officials, designing and delivering learning experiences and authoring educational toolkits that bridge inner growth and outer change.

He holds a PhD in Management from Bayes Business School, City, University of London, an MBA, and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, combining academic rigor with hands-on expertise. Among his various voluntary roles, he has served as a board member of several nonprofit and social change organizations in Greece and as Vice Chair of the Board of the International Forum for Volunteering in Development (FORUM). Also a published poet, award-winning photographer, and classically trained vocalist with international performance experience, he is a member of the Community Arts Network, bringing artistic experimentation and creativity into the field of education and learning design.
