OVERVIEW AND SCOPE

Conflicts within the corporate environment reduce productivity while consuming a great deal of managerial time, only to get temporary results. Cooperation, understanding and quick and effective mechanisms for conflict management and resolution are vital to avoid both personal and economic costs and boost productivity.

Specialized training in mediation and in the management of conflict in the workplace, helps individuals, companies and larger organizations not only handle but also to prevent conflicts in the working environment. As a result, this 20 - hour, highly interactive course, aims to offer participants the knowledge, the concepts the content and the context for effective conflict resolution and mediation.

CONTENT AND FLOW

During the Conflict Management and Mediation at work program, the following key areas will be explored: 

  • The cost of unresolved conflict in business
  • Introduction to conflict theory – psychology of conflict
  • Workplace dynamics and conflict roots
  • Interest based negotiations: how to create sustainable relations in the workplace
  • Practical group exercises - Game on collaboration
  • Resolving workplace disputes through mediation. What it is and when it can work
  • Types of workplace mediation (in-house/ external)
  • Individual Skills building (selected mediation techniques)
  • Role plays on common workplace conflict scenarios in small groups with feedback
  • Dispute prevention
