Ms. Fani Palli Petralia, Minister of Employment & Social Protection, Mr. Kostis Chatzidakis, Minister of Development and Mr. Konstantinos Mihalos, President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry also attended the event and presented some of the top awards.

During his speech, Mr. Chatzidakis highlighted that, “It is crucial for businesses to operate according to rules and regulations, as does a good workplace. There are companies with good financial results that occasionally comprise a good workplace; however, companies that are great workplaces always present great financial results. This Awards Ceremony is a message for more enterprises to follow in this direction.”

Ms. Palli Petralia mentioned that, “Conscious of their social responsibility, businesses invest in human resources, support their associates and employees by creating a high-calibre working environment… The crisis has clearly proven that businesses should not alienate themselves from actual employee needs. I believe that we are now paying the price of financial greed and unethical profit, and this price is enormous... A modern, dynamic and efficient company must demonstrate its sensitivity, team spirit and genuine interest in its employees. It should demonstrate a culture of entrepreneurship, which is an indicator of the business ethics of a company.”
