CSR and Sustainable Development:The role and needs of journalists

The Hellenic Network for Corporate Social Responsibility and ALBA Graduate Business School at The American College of Greece are organizing a series of open, brief sessions on Corporate Social Responsibility aiming to enhance awareness and dialogue. 

Each event will be addressed to a specific group of stakeholders.

Recognizing and supporting the important role of journalists and journalism in the development, promotion, and enhancement of Corporate Social Responsibility, it was decided that the first event will be addressed to journalists and it will take place on 13th February 2014,  12.30-15.00

 

With this event, the organizers aim to

  • Provide updates, material and information regarding the current trends in Corporate Social Responsibility
  • Contribute to the discussion and clarification of relevant terms, including: Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainable Development and Corporate Sustainability
  • Provide information on the national and international organizations engaged in the development and promotion of Corporate Social Responsibility
  • Create a platform for the exchange of ideas and for the facilitation of discussions amongst journalists, the Hellenic Network for Corporate Social Responsibility and the ALBA Centre for Business Ethics, Social Responsibility and Sustainability
  • Explore the needs of journalists for the efficient dissemination and analysis of news and information regarding Corporate Social Responsibility topics
  • Explore the difficulties that journalists face and record potential solutions and future actions

The event will be hosted at the ground-floor amphitheatre of ALBA Graduate Business School, 6-8 Xenias St., Athens (opposite Mavili Square).

The event is open and organized exclusively for Journalists. A light lunch will follow
